I rarely review but need to this time. Dr Drew Ramsey is a genius! His book is full of invaluable information that is absolutely different from any health/diet book I've read! (I've read most of them) He has described in detail why we need to eat certain foods to feed our brain the essential nutrients it needs to keep us healthy. He tells secrets that will help stave off Alzheimers, protect from the negative effects of aging and in the process lose weight! I am lucky to already have tested some of the recipes. My favorites are the Quinoa-Mushroom Frittata, Cashew-Chocolate Smoothie, Crispy Shrimp with Greens and Beans and Rainbow Burgers with Golden Sweet Potato Fries! The recipes are delicious and certainly nutritious! I feel healthy. I Eat Complete! I highly recommend this book!

I have had clinical, difficult-to-treat depression most of my life. Since I received this book and The Happiness Diet by the same author, I've been eating plenty of mood foods every day. I have to say it works. My quality of life has improved so much that I feel like myself again: active, engaged in my life and happier. I stopped following the recommendations as much while on vacation and I noticed a definite change for the worse. I think it's important to Est these foods every day, every meal.There are 're are so many choices, it's easy. The reason I have given this only 4 stars is that the recipes don't include enough of the recommended foods. I use my own recipes.I follow the focus food recommendations, though not as strictly, and my focus has imprinted as well

I bought the book b/c of a strong newspaper review. I thought that there would be alot of science-based, evidence-driven information. Not the case! It's just a cookbook. And its bibliography lists dated articles and other published information that were not as substantial as I hoped to read. But the recipes are good!

This is an excellent book that makes me feel good about eating better. Dr. Ramsey does a good job describing what food is important for brain health, explains why it is good for you, and then supplies recipes to back it up. The recipes are delicious too!This book is good for anybody who is interested in eating better and getting the most out of the food that you eat.

Excellent. Common sense, intelligent advice on eating to nourish our bodies and our brains. The recipes are accessible and simple to make with (mostly) everyday ingredients, many easily prepared in less than 30 minutes. Thank you to Dr. Ramsey for his work on the subject of the gut-brain connection.

I love the charts that are included, with nutritional information, and which foods contain the needed nutrients. The recipes are great, too. I bought 3 more copies for each of my 3 sisters.

I really like the recipes. I bought the Kindle version because i already have too many hardcover cookbooks, but it really would be more fun in hardover
