This book is an inspirational primer on how to live with intention and impact in the place God has you. Having just moved to a new city, I really felt challenged and encouraged by this book to engage more intentionally with my neighbors and the city and to live believing that I am here, at this time, for a purpose. With humor and vulnerability, Pilgreen invites us in to her personal stories of how God has worked in her life and the lives of those she interacts with in her neighborhood, church, and city. She gives practical ideas on how to live out this theme of living sent, and she has woven Biblical stories and scripture throughout the book to support and encourage you along the way. She writes from the perspective of a small town girl moved Midwest moved urban downtown living, but the principles of this book are relatable no matter what place or space you call home. Pilgreen’s writing inspires the reader to be encouraged and challenged that no matter where you are, or what stage of life you’re in, your story matters and God has purpose for you.
