This book is terrible. Poorly written, typos and practically nothing substantive.
Book is poorly written - tons of typos, no proof reading and is a weak guide at best. Don't buy it. I would ask for my money back if I had not throw it into the trash.
Very good, but I missed more information on the beaches and photos.Example: what is the best wind, best direction of swell and other informations
this is an essential book if you're planning a surf trip to costa rica. it list over 80 surf breaks in the country on both the Pacific and Caribbean sides. It gave tons of info and decent maps to figure out where the surf breaks are. I would actually recommend buying this guide plus one other just to make sure you have all the necessary information. Blue Planet Surf Maps also makes surfing guidebooks for nicaragua and panama as well which are quite good. have a great surf!
