After reading Julie’s Biography I have greater empathy for her. She is an example of how God weaves his great plan through flawed servants. I wish her well.

Julie is informative, and when read with other books , like "Saints" and the Scriptures, I find that Julie is, Spot On. I'm so thankful for her insight and willingness to share with us.

My conclusion to Julie Rowe is that she is a beautifully spirited disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her message and testimony have greatly enhanced my spiritual preparation, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to read her books.

I didn't care for the writing style or the book itself.

Julie Rowe is a false prophet. She may be a wonderful person but truth must be spoken! This book is her playing the victim card to make herself look like a persecuted messenger of the Lord. She practices energy healing and runs an energy healing business which has been condemned by prophets and apostles. She continuously provides prophecies which have failed again and again. Check out her Bryan Hyde Interview #15 on her YouTube channel and listen for yourself. She predicted NUCLEAR EXPLOSIONS to happen around Nov 2017, mass chaos for the country with strikes, failing debit card transactions country-wide, "obsidian Monday" and an imminent EQ in Utah 3 years ago. LDS need to wake up and turn to Christ and His apostles. This fear-mongering only hurts people and gives a bad image to LDS and the LDS church.

Provides a personalized perspective of Julie Rowe's life and helps to dispel many of the false rumors that have often circulated about her. I believe that Julie's experiences are real and that she has a divine mission. If that is the case, then it is certainly worth it for you to investigate and make preparations for the tribulations to come. This book is a good place to start. Whether you believe Julie's story or not, if you believe all is well in Zion and that Babylon will continue to flourish right up until the Millennial Day, then you are probably in for a rude awakening.

What kind of a "prophet" writes three books, a biography, does several radio shows, and 70+ podcasts all based on absolutely nothing. Not a single claim has come true. She must have a high opinion of herself. But as disturbing as all that is, she treats "spiritual experiences" like they're a cocktail party. No reverence (but a lot of pride and fear). She even got on the radio and described a conversation with Cain (the Biblical Cain) in the Salt Lake City airport. She'll be excommunicated from the LDS church eventually. I've heard every word Julie has said and written publicly. Clearly, she's had visionary experiences, and she's trying to do good. But she craves attention, and what she needs to face is how brilliantly the adversary has deceived her. He's playing her like a fiddle and using her to undermining the entire Tribulation preparation movement. She's the Alex Jones of prophecy, so take everything with a grain of salt. Some truths here are mixed with lies (and mental illness). I feel sorry for Julie and hope she gets well. God loves her as much as he loves all of us.

I admire the author's bravery and appreciate her willingness to share such personal accounts. This book was uplifting, interesting and impactful.

I bought this for my eleven-year-old daughter, even though it says for 5 to 10 year olds. She wanted to do a Marian consecration but I think Father Gaitley's book was a little beyond her (not that she couldn't read and comprehend it, but it was more than she could handle). She likes it; though there is some subject matter that is explained as if for the first time with which she is already familiar, she says she does not feel as though it is talking down to her. It's easy enough that she has stayed on track thus far on her own without any prompting from me. We are doing our consecration together this year (me renewing and she for the first time) so when it comes time we will do the final steps together and then maybe as I am going on pilgrimage to Fatima and Lourdes I will get her something to wear as a reminder!

A stunningly beautiful book and formula for children and their entire family to learn about, develop a deeper appreciation for, and make a commitment to our Blessed Mother. The book is practical, engaging, and meaningful for the whole family to read together or for an older child to pray through on his or her own. The cover is gorgeous and the short sections are accompanied inside by lovely line drawings which complement but don't distract from the purpose of the book.Dr. Gress has done her Mariology research and presents it in an accessible way for children. While our family is still working through the book, it's important to note that the book gives children the responsibility to DO something through reading the book, to consecrate themselves to Mary. It's not just a storybook but an activity and dedication, more than only spiritual reading. Each section comes with discussion questions, interesting facts, and prayers. Familiar children's stories like Anne of Green Gables, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Chronicles of Narnia are used to impart lessons and stories of saints are also included.We received the book as a gift and I've already ordered three more for First Communion gifts. I absolutely love introducing others, especially children, to the idea of Marian consecration and there is no better way than through this book! As the cover says, the book should be "bringing Mary to life in young hearts and minds."

Remarkably well written! It personalizes the approach of bringing children to Jesus through His Immaculate Mother. Marvelous stories to inspire the children to a deeper level of devotion to Jesus, through Mary.

Giving it to my grandchildren to encourage devotion to the Mother of God, Mary.

I bought this book to read to my children during the month of May, to help prepare them for consecrating themselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It's divided into 33 short "conferences", one to be read each day of the month, ending with the Consecration on Day 34. While some of the conferences are probably very beautiful and inspiring, my kids will never know -- unless they first chug through 18 children's classics as a prerequisite to consecrating themselves to Our Blessed Mother! Sound weird? Yeah, to me too.When I purchased this book, I'd read in the blurb that the author uses a few children's stories to make some of her points. But I was totally unprepared for and very dismayed by the many, many references to fiction books sprinkled throughout. When I picked it up and started reading aloud Day One to my sons, I stopped short at the second paragraph. The entire rest of the conference talked about nothing but the lion character, Aslan, in the Chronicles of Narnia, comparing him to Christ. My boys aren't into fantasy and have never read the Chronicles of Narnia. A little upset, I flipped to Day Two. The story of Aslan continued. Okay, so jump to Day Three. By this time, I was really hoping the author would start talking about Our Lord or Our Lady. Nope. All of a sudden we have a new character, Digory, from the book "The Magician's Nephew." To say I was getting frustrated is an understatement. The spell of reading to my sons had been broken, and I was starting to wonder what kind of book I'd spent my money on. I sent them off to play while I rifled through the next few conferences. FINALLY one was about Our Lady and the Annunciation, which came at Day Four. Immediately following, on Day Five, was a long reference to the characters in the novel, Little Lord Fauntleroy, comparing Cedric's love of his mom to Christ's love for His Mother. My sons had not read that book either. Great.By this time I was pretty dismayed. I looked in the index and discovered that the author compares Our Lady's life and devotion to Her to no less than EIGHTEEN children's books, everything from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (I jest not) to Green Eggs and Ham and Winnie-the-Pooh. Out of the eighteen books referenced, my sons were only familiar with four of them. Even of those four, I couldn't figure out what on earth they had to do with loving the Blessed Virgin at all. My heart sank as I realized I would be skipping many of the conferences in this book, unless I waited a year and read all those novels to my children first.I put the book on the shelf and haven't picked it up since. I somehow doubt I ever will. It could have been such a beautiful treasure, but instead it was extremely disappointing.

Beautiful book for children to introduce them to Marian Consecration. We have 5 boys ages 10 - 6 months so we read it aloud together as a family. We all enjoyed the presentation, beautiful artwork, discussion questions and prayers.

This book is incredibly beautiful. We bought it for our kids but they’re a little young for the intended age so we’ll be waiting a while to use it with them. My husband and I enjoyed the reflections though!

I saw myself in some of them, and enjoyed the experiences of others like I would as if they were a good friend telling me about the incredible night they had over coffee the next morning.)But the erotica I enjoy most are well-written stories that give me new naughty ideas I can try out for myself. As a queer/pansexual switchy individual, let's just say I got a lot out of this book. I was especially relieved to find powerful dominant femmes in more than one story.The theme of the collection is Outsiders and Risk and each writer takes the theme in a new direction. For me, one of the pleasures of reading the book is waiting for the "risk" to reveal itself. The risks are often a major part of the erotic build-up, kicking these stories into sensual overdrive.In many of the stories, the concept of outsiders manifests through a narrator with a marginalized component in their identity, such as race or disability. The editor always does a good job of creating a refreshingly inclusive anthology, which makes me even more inclined to support the series.

About the Author

Simon Richmond's first gig for Lonely Planet was on the Kazakhstan chapter of their Central Asia guide. Having recently completed two books on adventure travel in Southeast Asia and South America, where he had, among other things, learnt to dive, hacked his way through dense jungles, paddled furiously along rapid rivers, climbed snow-covered, smoldering volcanoes and mountain-biked down perilously steep tracks, the British-born writer and photographer felt prepared to tackle a country more of interest to mountaineers and oil prospectors than your average backpacker or package tourist. A decade and a half earlier, Simon had honed his writing skills as a young journalist with 'Which?' before heading east to Tokyo with the vague idea that this hyper-kinetic city would be more inspiring than life insurance, tax thresholds, Euro MPs, and health food, all topics he'd researched for the UK consumer advice magazine. He spent two and a half years in Japan learning the language and working as an editor and writer for a major financial news organization on content that was drier than the Gobi, and only marginally more interesting. At the same time he travelled Japan (later co-writing an award-winning guidebook to the country, as well as to Tokyo) and Asia, scribbling notes and storing away ideas for travel features. He first came to live in Sydney in 1994 on a year-long working holiday visa and quickly found the local media snapping up those stories. Entranced by the country he moved back permanently in 1998 and joined Lonely Planet's merry band of authors a year later. I didn't have the highest expectations for this book, having already been sorely disappointed by Lonely Planet's South East Asia guide. What swung me toward giving Lonely Planet the benefit of the doubt was that this title was billed as being recently published. That might be the case, but it simply means the existing info in it has been updated to correct prices or addresses, rather than the whole thing having been overhauled. Read the blurb about the contributors and you can see why: none has spent significant amounts of time exploring the country (I'm sorry, but a few weeks here and there, adding up to only a few months in total, does not cut it.) Read their effusive thanks to the publisher for having selected them for the job in the first place, and it's clear that even they were surprised they got the job.What's lacking? Depth and options. There's a lack of the former in background descriptions and commentaries. And in terms of options, you get a strong sense that the few eating or accommodation establishments that they list for each place are not the best available for each price range, but simply the only ones they tried.I do sympathise. I'm a publisher myself, so I know exactly how difficult it is to produce good quality content with the meagre budgets available these days. But now, writing with my reader hat on, my feedback to other readers and potential buyers is that this title has very little value. Unfortunately.

First, I have to say that I love my Kindle Fire and I love Lonely Planet. But this is a case of two great tastes that DON'T taste great together. The book is wonderful but I can't use it easily on my Kindle. The maps are completely useless (yes, they tell you that you can get the maps on PDF from the website, for free, but that is inconvenient. Also, it's a fine idea to have activated links, so you can click through the links to the museums, hotels, etc., but it is NOT a good idea to have so many hyperlinks within the book itself. You cannot see more than one thing in the same city easily. I had to go to a bookstore and buy a paper copy because I just couldn't work with the Kindle version.Second, I am satisfied, though not thrilled, with the contents of the book. Korea is a major tourist destination and there are literally thousands of hotels and restaurants, museums and attractions to choose from. This book includes a helpful map of Seoul and information on many important sites, but there are so many more which could/should be included. The guidebook for Korea should be bigger overall. In the paper edition, the blue writing is sometimes difficult to use, but the maps are helpful (not just Seoul, all over Korea) and I'm easily able to find my way around with the help of this book.If not for the problem with the Kindle Edition, I would probably have rated this book a 4. I still recommend it for anyone, but it's best to be careful about which edition you choose.

Good guidebook, not great. But there are only two guidebooks that do a Korea guide for the whole country-- Lonely Planet and Rough. I didn't purchase rough's guidebook because it specializes in off the beaten path, and I need a guide for everything to see. I like all the maps that it has in this lonely planet guidebook, those will probably be invaluable. I wish there were more pictures or diagrams or drawings or something of the attractions/things to do, there are mostly pages of just information listings.I like that a lot of them list addresses, opening hours, cost etc. It is organinized in an easy to read and find-what-you-want manner. It has sections for each province which is broken down into cities and sites to see. There is a lot of information in the book and I'm sure it will be very useful for my move to Korea. There isn't much information on, Gunsan, the area I'm moving to; there is one area of a page. The section on Jeollabukdo, where gunsan is, is probably the smallest section in the whole book. I mention that so that if anybody else is going there bc of the military, you will know. I assume there just isn't much to do in the area I'm moving to. The Seoul section is enormous and so are some other sections; I can't wait to visit them. I do really like all the extra information in the book, on festivals, culture, mannerisms and such. I think the section on North Korea is a nice and very informative touch. Overall I am happy to have this guidebook, I think it will be an invaluable part of my experience in Korea. I'm giving it four stars because the information in the book is very good, but I feel like the guidebook overall could be better if it didn't feel so one dimensional with the seemingly endless written listings of information for the cities and sites.

This is an awesome book that anyone traveling or living in South Korea should not be without. Chuck full of tips, links, updates, so many wonderful things I can't begin to list them all. I have looked at many books but this is by far the one that can not be beat! A must have to buy and a must have take along with you wherever you go in South Korea! Note: I am currently stationed here with my husband who is in the military. We love this book and have used it for so many things... cover to cover!

I usually buy hard copies of guides, but this time I decided to try an electronic version. It's just not the same. I have a Kindle Fire HD and the electronic LP guides are inferior to the physical copies because they're not meant to be read as books, but skimmed, browsed unlike normal books, especially while traveling. So even though it may be bulkier and heavier, I recommend sticking to the classic physical guides instead of their inferior electronic versions.
